General Description

Hangsterfer's Rust Coats are general purpose, oil based rust inhibitors designed for use in a variety of applications. With their range of viscosities, Hangsterfer's Rust Coats can be used for both short and long term protection on parts, as an additive in cutting oils or to flush and protect your machine tool when changing oils. Rust Coats are formulated for use on all metals. Their non-hazardous formulation provides for a safe workplace environment and easy waste disposal.

Application

A heavy-duty rust inhibitor, Rust Coat 2000 provides excellent corrosion protection for parts in long-term storage, either inside or outside. A shelf life of 9-18 months or longer can be expected. It leaves a heavy protective film.

Maintenance

When in use it is important to keep the Rust Coats free of solvents, cleaners, water and metal particulate, which may interfere with the products performance. When used in a dip tank, any oils or solids carried into the Rust Coat from the parts should be filtered out on a regular basis. All products should be stored in a sealed container, in a cool, dry place.

Cleaning

Rust Coat 2000 cannot be removed with aqueous cleaners as it is intended for outside storage. Any residue can be easily removed in a solvent wash system.
