General Description

Foam-X is a foam prevention compound. Foam-X can be applied to a broad range of foaming conditions, especially when water-soluble oils are foaming excessively. Foam-X is formulated to be sprayed onto the surface of the coolant. The combination of it being atomized then contacting the coolant creates microscopic needles of insoluble carboxylates. These insoluble carboxylates act as microscopic antifoam particles, which lowers surface tension and pops the bubbles that form the body of the foam. In most cases, Foam-X can reduce foam as much as 80%. Foam-X does not contain Silicon.

Application

Foam-X is superior to most other forms of antifoam in that it disperses easily into the coolant and is less likely to be filtered out of the system as compared to other defoaming technologies available. Foam-X must be sprayed using a heavy-duty manual spray mist bottle (standard item available for order), an automated mist or atomizing system (available for our TSP division).

Maintenance

Maintenance: Store Foam-X in a sealed container, away from extreme heat and direct sunlight.

Cleaning

Cleaning: Foam-X has minimal influence on the coolants physical or chemical characteristics when used as directed. As with any additive it should be tested in an isolated process to assure that it does not influence any secondary processes.
